Spider's Net

Applications& FAQ

Spider's Net works wherever a load has to stand securely and breathe at the same time. We've gathered the situations our customers run into most often, along with answers to the questions that come up before a first order.

Applications in practice

Typical situations our customers face

Fruit and vegetables sweated and went mouldy under film

Problem

Produce wrapped in stretch film for sale trapped moisture underneath — part of the pallet went mouldy before it reached the shop.

Solution

Standard net lets air through the whole surface of the load. Moisture doesn't collect under the packaging, and the produce arrives dry and fresh.

Mushrooms needed ventilation without pressure

Problem

Delicate crates of produce needed packaging that lets air through without crushing the contents in transit.

Solution

Net wraps the crates without the rigid pressure of film, and customers can judge the quality of the mushrooms through the mesh before they're even unpacked.

Firewood pallets shifted during reloading

Problem

Irregular pieces of firewood worked loose in transit, and pallet corners got damaged over several reloads.

Solution

Extra-stretch net pulls tight around every uneven piece of wood. Paired with a raschel bag and filling frame, the pallet stays countable and stable from production to shop shelf.

Irregular loads wouldn't stay put under film

Problem

Loads with varying shapes and heights — pots, plants, crates — left gaps under rigid film and shifted on the pallet.

Solution

Extra-stretch net or Nano Nets follows every recess in the pallet outline, pulling even a very irregular load tight without manually closing the corners.

Chocolate-coated wafers stopped sticking together on the pallet

Problem

Chocolate-coated bars and wafers, produced partly as private label for retail chains, stuck together when pallets were wrapped in stretch film — even light pressure from the film was enough to fuse the chocolate layers.

Solution

Net reduces the pressure on the load while keeping the pallet fully stable in transit — sticking was clearly minimised. Different net colours for different shipping destinations (Poland, the Baltic states, Czechia, Slovakia) also let the warehouse recognise a pallet's destination without reading labels, eliminating shipping mix-ups.

Water no longer collected under film on pallets of pasteurised jars

Problem

Jars of preserves went onto pallets wrapped in stretch film after pasteurisation. With temperature differences during storage and in-plant transport, water collected under the film.

Solution

Net used for the in-plant transport stage lets air through, so moisture doesn't condense under the packaging while the pallet stays stable. The water problem was eliminated.
